ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Scrum Master to support our AI/ML development teams. This position requires a unique combination of solid Agile/Scrum knowledge and understanding of AI/ML development processes. You will work with data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality AI solutions in a fast-paced and efficient manner. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilitate and adapt Scrum practices for AI/ML teams by balancing research and production work, guiding ceremonies and sprint planning, ensuring increments meet the Definition of Done, and collaborating with other Scrum Masters to maximize organizational effectiveness. 

Coordinate and facilitate scaled Agile practices for AI/ML, including cross-team sprint planning, reviews, backlog refinement, and knowledge-sharing communities, while fostering self-management, cross-team collaboration, and whole-product systems thinking. 

Collaborate with AI/ML teams to define clear definitions of done, establish ML pipelines and CI/CD workflows, coordinate dependencies across data and model development phases, and track progress with data-driven metrics. 

Bridge business and technical teams by translating AI/ML concepts, aligning requirements, managing expectations, and defining success metrics for AI initiatives. 

Coach AI/ML teams in Agile practices, foster psychological safety and motivation, promote knowledge sharing and experimentation, and build a collaborative, skilled, and continuously improving environment where members take ownership of the product. 

Identify and resolve AI project risks and blockers, manage ML pipeline technical debt, ensure infrastructure readiness with IT/DevOps, and address ethical and compliance considerations. 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field 

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification required 

• Advanced certifications (PSM II/III, CSP-SM, SAFe Scrum Master) highly preferred 

• Additional certifications in AI/ML or Data Science are significant advantages 

• Continuous learning mindset with demonstrated courses in AI/ML fundamentals 

• Experience: Minimum 3-4 years’ experience as Scrum Master, preferably in AI/ML or data-driven projects 

• Experience with cross-functional teams of 5-9 members including data scientists and ML engineers 

Technical Proficiency

• Proven track record of successful AI/ML project delivery from experimentation to production 
• Experience with Agile at scale frameworks (SAFe, LeSS) for multiple AI teams 
• Proficiency with Agile tools: Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar 
• Basic understanding of statistics, ML lifecycle, ML metrics, AI/ML tools and platforms, and A/B testing frameworks 
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for ML models, version control for code and data 
• Hands-on experience with MLOps practices and continuous delivery for ML models 
• Background in managing teams working on both research and production environments
